Liquid dirt is mainly stained on the surface of the fiber by wetting, and then by capillary action to the inside of the fabric, between fibers and between yarns. The principle is similar to the wetting and penetration of water on the fiber surface, except that the surface tension of oily liquid dirt is generally lower than that of water. Therefore, the wetting ability of liquid dirt on non-woven fabrics is strong.
