The mask contains many innovations such as filter materials and design; medical gauze carries many technologies such as antibacterial and antifouling. Industrial textiles, which are widely used in medical and health, environmental protection and other fields, have developed rapidly and become a new economic growth pole for China's textile industry.
It was learned from the recently held "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan Development Guidance for Industrial Textile Industry" that in 2016, under the situation that the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size increased by 4.9%, industrial textiles still achieved 9.1 % Growth rate. Industrial textiles have high technical content and a wide range of applications, which are important directions for the innovation and promotion of the textile industry. At present, it is mostly used in medical health, environmental protection, construction transportation, aerospace and other fields. According to the United Nations forecast, by 2050, the global textile fiber processing volume will reach 250 million tons, of which 68% will be used for technical textiles.

Li Lingshen, president of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, said that accelerating the development and application of industrial textiles is of great significance for driving and even supporting the growth of the textile industry.
Li Lingshen said that at present, industrial textiles have problems such as small scale of enterprises, weak overall innovation capability, slow development of new product development and application markets, and fierce price competition for low-end and mid-range products. The government, industry, and enterprises need to form a joint force to promote the key issues. Common technological breakthroughs and cross-sectoral and cross-industry docking will enhance the supply of high-quality products and services and create a level playing field.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Development and Reform Commission jointly developed and issued the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Industrial Textile Industry", which proposes to strengthen the construction of an innovation system that combines enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutions as the mainstay, with universities and research institutions as the support R & D and industrialization of key common technologies. At the same time, strengthen the construction of quality standards and cultivate well-known brands in the industry.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed that it will create a policy environment that strongly supports the development of industrial textiles, stimulate corporate vitality, cultivate a market environment of high quality and competitive prices, improve market supervision and third-party certification, and eliminate unfair competition.
