Non-woven fabric refers to a fabric made by entanglement of fibers with many barbed needles without sticking them, or by sticking parts together.
People have invented the manufacturing principle of non-woven fabrics in the early 20th century. The first factory-scale production was the American Felt Co. (American Felt Co.) in 1939, and the KARL FREUDENBERG company in Europe and Germany around 1944. Started production of non-woven fabrics.

The production of non-woven fabrics in Japan started in DAINIKKU Co., Ltd. in 1958, and seven other companies joined in the next two years. Now the use, materials and manufacturing methods of non-woven fabrics have increased, and have become an inseparable part of our lives. The secret lies in the flexibility, thickness, various properties and shapes that can be freely created according to the different raw materials and processing methods.
Manufacturing methods are roughly divided into a wet method using water (7% in Japan, 1 ~ 2% in the world) and a dry method not using water (93% in Japan, 98 ~ 99% in the world). Others include hot air or hot press fixing methods (thermal bonding method, cable bonding method, etc.) and methods using adhesives (chemical bonding method), etc.
